fan fiction involving Shane and Carmen. I would love to see them get
back together for a few minutes in this last and final season of the
L Word. We need and they deserve to have some closure.

Scene 1: Shane walks into the house
through the back door and throws her keys on the table. She sees
a note with “Shane” written on it. She reads it.
(Jenny’s voice)
“Shane,
I never thought you would hurt me like this. NEVER!
When I told you that “Nikki was dead to me”, you
knew that it was said it pain and anger. You know that when
I fall in love, it is from the heart. And Nikki has .. had
my heart. You both deserve each other. I hope you two will
be happy together.
I will be out of the house until Monday. I want you GONE by
then.
Jenny”
Shane: (Drops the letter on the table, runs her fingers
through her hair): “Fuck!”
Scene 2: Shane loads
the last of her bags in the Jeep. Bette, Tina, and Angelica are
playing in the pool. Angelica is on a raft and Bette and Tina are
on either side of it/her. Shane walks over to them.
Shane: “Hey”
Bette/Tina: “Hey”
Shane (Kneeling down): “Hey
Angelica”
Angelica (Waves to Shane): “Hey
Shane”
Tina: “So this is it, huh?”
Shane (Looking around the pool area
appreciatively, remembering all of the good times she has had
there): “Yeah, this is it. I really fu.. (Looking at Angelica),
Sorry. I really messed things up this time. I’m gonna miss
not living next door to you guys.”
Bette: “Maybe you guys can
work things out.”
Shane (Standing up):”I doubt
it. The damage is done.”
Tina: “Where are you going
to go? Do you need a place to stay? Since I’m staying here,
(Tina looks at Angelica and Bette who smiles, then winks at Tina.
Tina reaches for Bette’s hand the squeezes it), my old apartment
is empty. You can stay there as long as you want.”
Shane: “Nah, but thanks for
the offer. The insurance check came in and I’m renting a
Condo four blocks from the Planet and around the corner from SheBar
until I decide what I’m going to do. I might go visit Shay
for a while. It’s cool. We’ll still see each other.”
(Tears begin to well up in Shane’s eyes). “Well, bye
guys.”
Bette: “Bye Shane, see you
later.”
Angelica: “Bye Shane, see you
later.”
Shane looks at Angelica and smiles.
Tina (Watching Shane walk away, yells):”Shane!”
If you need anything call, ok? Bye Shane”
Shane without turning around, waves goodbye. She gets into her
Jeep and drives away.
Bette and Tina watch as Shane drives away. They then look at each
other.
Tina: “I love you.”
(Tina puts her hand on Bette’s head and then slides down
to her cheek)
Bette (Smiles): “I love you,
too.”
They kiss passionately until they hear …
Angelica: “Bye Shane.”
Bette and Tina stop kissing each other and both kiss Angelica
on the side of the head.
Scene 3: Shane has both hands
full along with bags over both shoulders. She walks up to the elevator
and pushes the button. A bag on her right shoulder falls off and
in bending down to pick up that bag, the other bags on her right
side fall off.
Shane: “Fuck.”
The elevator door opens.
Shane (Kicking, throwing, and hiking
bags into the elevator while still bent down and her back to the
door): “Hold the Door.”
Person in the elevator drags a mattress backwards out of the door:
“Stop throwing things at me. If you’d let me get off,
you can get on. Jeez, what kind of idiot are you.”
Shane (Stands up and turns toward
the person who is talking): “What the Fuck?”
Shane turns around to see Carmen standing there. They lock eyes
and stare at each other for what seems like an hour. Shane drops
to her knees, hugging Carmen tightly around the waist, and begins
to cry uncontrollably. Carmen stands there stiff as a board, looking
straight ahead. Tears begin to run down Carmen’s face and
she puts her left hand on Shane’s head, pulling Shane tighter
to her. This makes Shane cry even harder.
Shane: “Carmen, I’m sorry,
I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” (She
begins to try and explain) “I tried to find you and I went
to your house, and your brothers, and I crashed the car, and Shay.”
(Carmen doesn’t respond). “I’m sorry, I’m
sorry, I’m so sorry,”
Carmen (Putting the other arm around
Shane’s head tears still running down her face): (Barely
audible) “Yeah, I know.” (Sighing)
Shane (Still crying uncontrollably):
“I never wanted to hurt you. I love you. “I’m
sorry, I’m sorry, Carmen, I’m so sorry.”
Off camera a man clears his voice: “Ahem.”
Shane gets up, turns her back to the man, and wipes the tears
from her face with both hands. Carmen wipes the tears from her
face with her fingers. Shane picks up the last bag and steps back
into the elevator. The man gets in after Shane.
Man: “Going up?”
Shane/Carmen: “Yes”
The man presses the second floor button and the elevator door
closes. No one says anything as the elevator goes up to the second
floor.
Scene 4: When the
elevator gets to the second floor, Shane and Carmen both get off.
Carmen, dragging the mattress and Shane half carrying and half kicking
her bags down the hall, walk in silence. Shane stops at Apartment
2B and Carmen walks past her to 2C.
Carmen (Leans
the mattress against the wall and throws her hands in the air):
“What the fuck and I doing. I was getting rid of this thing.”
She begins to pull the mattress down the
hall again, stops and takes her keys out of her pocket. Carmen opens
the door to her apartment and Shane grabs Carmen around the waist
and begins to walk Carmen into the apartment. Shane kicks the door
closed with her foot. They begin to kiss while walking into the
room.
Carmen: “Watch
out for the couch” (as they walk into it).
Shane: “Where is the bedroom”?
Carmen: (Whispers) “Down the
hall. “Watch out for the wall” (as they run into it).
They both giggle while still kissing.
They get to the bedroom and begin to disrobe in silence. Shane reaches
for Carmen and pulls her onto the bed. Shane straddles Carmen and
looks down at her. Carmen hooks up at Shane. Neither one says a
thing. Shane bends down and begins to kiss Carmen. Carmen kisses
Shane as if no time has passed between them since they were last
together. Shane begins to unzip Carmen’s zipper, sticks her
hand down Carmen’s pants, and begins to fuck her. Carmen moans
and arches her back upwards towards Shane.
Shane (As Carmen orgasms): “I’m
not done yet and neither are you.” (Smiles and winks at Carmen)
Shane then begins to kiss both of Carmen’s breasts, licking
both nipples, her stomach, and slides down her body. Shane puts
Carmen’s legs over Shane’s shoulders. Shane begins to
lick Carmen back and forth, up and down. Carmen squeezes Shane’s
head between her thighs and grabs Shane’s hair and pulls it
in pleasure.
Shane (Still in between Carmen’s
legs): “Ow shit.”
Shane (After Carman orgasms again,
Shane comes back up and looks Carmen in the eyes. She whispers to
Carmen): “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry Carmen. I love
you. I always have.” (Shane rolls off of Carmen and lays face
down on the bed and puts the pillow over her head).
Carmen (Lying on her back looking at
the ceiling, pulls the covers up to her chin): “I want you
to leave.”
Shane (Looking at Carmen confused):
“But?” (Shane looks at Carmen asking with her eyes,
“Are you serious?”)
Carmen (Yells): “Now!”
(Carmen rolls over and turns her back to Shane).
Shane puts on her clothes in silence and
walks out the bedroom and shuts the front door.
